THE ORGANIZATION ------------------------------ The Miss South Sudan Organization is a non-profit organization that was found to promote education and seek global advancement for the Southern Sudanese women. Formed in February 2006, it was an idea to introduce Southern Sudanese women to the world and the opportunity to impact the lives of many. It is a thoughful process to teach and instill among all southern Sudanese, the value of unity among Southern Sudanese. Miss South Sudan Organization identifies Southern Sudanese women in the US who exemplify beauty, personality, supremacy, talent, and intelligence. It aims to create new role models who through the beauty pageant will serve as ambassadors that will define a new South Sudan, enrich the beauty of the Southern Sudanese women and enhance a new strength, energy and spirit for the advancement of Southern Sudanese women. MISSION OF THE MISS SOUTH SUDAN ORGANIZATI0N ---------------------- The Organization seeks to: · To emphasize education by providing scholarship opportunities and personal development. · To provide personal and professional opportunities for Southern Sudanese women and promote their voice in culture, politic and community. · To provide opportunities to develop interview and communication skill, enhance performance capability, encourage healthy life style, and built self esteem and self confidence through competition. · To support women’s participation in regional, national and global community service, thus effecting change in places that need it. · To promote equality by challenging imbalance of power base on gender and other orientation, and age, within and beyond Sudan and USA. · To empower Southern Sudanese women to provide resources, services, programs, and research that address a diverse range of needs, interests, and concerns in South Sudan. · To recognize and celebrate the multiple realities of Southern Sudanese women’s lives. · To encourage Southern Sudanese young ladies to pursuit their dreams in fashion and modeling. Think you’ve got what it takes? If so, we are inviting you and all Southern – Sudanesse girls in Canada to enter ours beauty Pageant in Calgary, Canada. Whether this is your first pageant, or you have been in a pageant before, this is the pageant you have been looking for! South-Sudan beauty contest in Calgary, Canada is one of the biggest events of this year. All figures are welcome to participate. Young woman interested in participating should have in mind the following” 1/ Must know that they are judged for the following: Beauty Personality Movement Self confidence Communication skills Creativity & Passion Stage presence Ability to capture the audience’s attention Each contestant models their attire (long or short dress and on-stage interview. All contestant will go onstage and asked simple questions by the M.C) All contestant will be given microphone and they will give a short speech about themselves (including something like name, age, hobbies and interesting facts about your self. The format and style of the pageant will allow audiences to really get to know who their new Miss South- Sudan is and what she is about. Miss South-Sudan is an opportunity like no others. You’ll gain poise, self-confidence, and valuable communication skills. You’ll feel good about yourself and gain the competitive edge to succeed later in whatever field you may choose, from modeling to business.
